Nasty Gal

Lately, I've been a HUGE fan of Nasty Gal. I finally caved today and bought two of their dresses. For $58 a piece, I thought that was a great deal for two well-made dresses and I thought that I deserved a reward for working 30 hours a week and attending school full time. I've fallen in love peplum: dresses, skirts, anything. So, naturally, I gravitated towards two peplum styled dresses.
Victoria Peplum Dress-Cobalt -$58.00
Crochet Peplum Dress -$58.00
I'll definitely be posting an outfit post when I get them in the mail! xx

Romelia

I've always been a huge fan of Aldo Shoes, even though they are on the pricey side. A few weekends ago, I had the chance to go to a different mall and I decided to splurge a little... Okay, well, maybe a lot. But I was able to get my hands on these fabulous heels that will last me awhile.
After much consideration, I caved and bought the Romelia heels. I've been lusting after a pair of pointy toed heels for the longest times and these were just perfect. They're surprisingly comfy and with the addition of some grips for the soles, I'll never slip or all. They were $90, but I was able to treat myself, which is something I haven't done for myself in awhile.

Back to Reality

Hi, everyone! I've missed blogging like you would not believe, but I'm finally done with my first year of college! These last few weeks have been absolutely crazy, so my hiatus was dearly needed. I'm back now, though, and more than happy to start blogging away again!

I actually went out and bought those red pants from American Eagle that I had been lusting after and I've gotten tons of compliments on them! I'm pretty sure that I'm going to get a size smaller next time, though, since I've had to shrink them in the dryer twice. Also, in big fashion news, I live in Central new York, and our mall is turning into the newest Mall Of America. We're going to have a bowling alley, theatres, and tons of new shops, including Saks, BCBG, and others. They recently renovated H&M and Forever 21 and it's absolute paradise. H&M used to be 2 levels, but it was small and cramped. Now it's all on one floor and I absolutely love walking in there. Forever 21 took H&M's old spot and it's been open for a few weeks now, but I haven't had a chance to get in there until last Friday. They have a men's section now and it's so BIG! I had to restrain myself on so many things and proudly exited with only something for my boyfriend and one thing for myself.

I've recently become obsessed with lookbook.nu and pinterest. I've taken Casee Marie's idea about style inspiration and created my own board on pinterest. You all can follow me here! I'm too much of a chicken to upload any images onto lookbook.nu, but before the summer's over, I'll have some images up and definitely some on here! I'm glad to be back and definitely can't wait to start talking with all of you again!

Behind on the Times

I really must apologize for my sporadic posts as of late. I'm so busy with uni work and work work, that I just haven't had the time to post! I've been meaning to do an outfit post as well, but I've been too lazy to place new batteries in my camera. Yes, yes, I know. it's a lame excuse, but what can I say? In the meantime, you all can find me on my tumblr! ♥

Colorful Pants and White Shoes

Lately, I've been obsessed with the idea of colored pants and white sneakers to go along. I've been dying to buy a pair of red skinny jeans, so that I can just throw a nice, comfy sweater over. Unfortunately, it's springtime and the time for that has passed. But a girl can still dream, right? As for the white shoes, I think it's a way of spring some spring into your wardrobe if you're like me and cling to sweaters as long as you can.

Late Night Musings

I'd like to think that I've gone through a change this past year. The number one thing that I've done is get rid of people who weren't being true friends to me. Yes, that meant that cutting a huge amount of people in my life, but it's better than having fake friends. I have my boyfriend and my two girlfriends and that's all I need. Life gets hard at times and you have to make big decisions that could affect how people view you. Many people at my old high school think that I'm a bitch, but they don't know the things that I've experienced, though they think that they might. Where I'm coming from is that you should always live life passionately, with love and a zest for learning. If you don't have that in your life, if someone is being a negative influence on you, they have to go. A true friendship is when you're truly there for someone, not just when it's convenient. Go out and live. Don't have the reminder of the past on your shoulder all of the time. Be with people who make you the happiest you've ever been. One of my favorites has to be from the ever wonderful F.Scott Fitzgerald:

For what it's worth: it's never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There's no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you're proud of. If you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.
